Having owned a window and office cleaning company for YEARS my new boss has NEVER has a profit and loss spreadsheet (!!!!)... we have some good contracts but seemingly lots of "hidden" out goings. Where do i start with helping him sort this every out. We SHOULD be bringng in £11,000 a month and NEVER receive to look this money ... we are hoping a spreadsheet will help. We sub contract out a lot of the work and he has recently moved out of his nice big office premises to a spare room in his home to clip down on costs but he has REALLY NO IDEA about figures and spreadsheets.... and just cant "look where every his money is going" !!!! Hi.. we are opening up a tiny retail store selling sewing fabrics and accessories, but we will also offer the onsite rental of sewing machines and run sewing workshops. We have rented a tiny retail store which has a tiny separate toilet and sink in the basement. We are a limited partnership with no employees. The basement and the stairs going down to the basement have a headroom of about 1.85m but for some reason the door to the toilet is only about 1.7m high (ie you have to duck to receive in). We don't want to publicise the toilet but there may be occassion when someone hires a machine for the afternoon, or during a workshop, that needs to use a toilet. My Kodak ESP 7250 has a fault and I have received a replacement via courier below the warrenty; a Kodak Hero 7.51. I don't know if this is a mistake or whether the ESP 7250 has been discontinued and the Hero 7.51 is the replacement. Though a quick internet research reveals that shops are still stocking the ESP. I don't know much about the Hero 7.51, though it does have the main function that I require: it prints on both sides The man from the Call Centre/Help Line is due to phone me back anytime from tomorrow. Should I accept the replacement? My daughter was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. When she was attending college, I got a phone call from her college saying my daughter had a melt down, and that she tried to run in front of a car. Okay so yesterday me and my pal (Alizibif) were shopping for a new dress at the local centre of retail activity, looking for a new dress to wear to formal occasion being hosted the following night. We looked everywhere to find one in places like Hot Topic, Forever 21 and Burger King but our dream frock was nowhere to be seen. We were very upset and I was bored so we left the centre of retail activity. We got onto the car park and Alizibif slipped on the asphalt. She was on the floor so I presumed she was dead (there's so little time these days that checking would be a severe impracticality). I went into a period of mourning out of respect for Alizibif. 10 seconds later I walked to my car and started it up. I went to run Alisibif over (don't judge me! It would be so embarrassing if you turned out to be alive!) but there was a squirrel in the way which I refused to hurt (I am a pacifist, I hate violence). 5 seconds later it wouldn't move so I decided that I was extremely forced to run it over too, which actually shows the decisiveness and consistency of my personality! I got home and then I realized that I had forgotten to pick up the wheelbarrow that I pre-ordered from the gardening emporium at the centre of retail activity, so I got back in my car and speedily drove up there. I entered the foyer of the centre of retail activity and saw Alizibif sitting by herself. Immediately she saw me and drunk my illuminating and modest presence with pure glee. As I exited the food court I gave the family of the meat-bag a sympathetic grin and they were giving me glares of severe approval. I decided that the centre of retail activity wasn't chilly enough for me so I got in my car once more and drove home. I'm just talking about local employees by the way. I'm not taking into account the number of American manufacturing jobs that were lost when Staples started buying everything from China instead of from American manufacturers.

Hello, it is recommended that people drink enough water each day. I work in a retail store and I always take a bottle of water with me each day but by the end of the day it is usually nearly full. This is because I just forget to drink it. Is there any way I can remember to drink the whole bottle during the day. Any tips? How do you make sure you drink as much water as possible during the day? I was seasonally employed at Target for like a month and a half, i got hired there on October 12th 2011 of last year, then I had to frustratingly wait 2 weeks for my orientation because my background check results, drug-test results got delayed, but eventually i passed both of them, i got hired, so my orientation was not until October 25th, and my first official day on the job not until the 31'st, Halloween, and my final day working there was December 17th, so i was there for like a month and a half, and Target was my first ever retail job, first ever cashier experience, and i was released, let go because it was a seasonal job only, and when Human Resources called me in for a meeting like a week or 2 before December 17th, 1 to 1 discussion with one of the managers, and he told me i was getting released, told me it is nothing personal, that it is every a Business-Decision, i was not the only seasonal employee that got released, laid off, let go, but aren't most seasonal employees employed through the second week of January? Because this is what one person told me: "It's very fishy that a seasonal employee was let go before the Christmas rush was over. Seasonal employees are hired strictly for the black Friday and Christmas shopping rushes. Only a few of our seasonal employees weren't kept on and they were let go the second week of January. There might be more behind your release than you think and I would check before including that job on your application/resume. The short time frame can also be a red flag for employers" So do you think Target's Human Resources have not been completely honest with me? could they be hiding something from me? also, as for Yahoo Answers, did I submit this question in the right category? because I wish to receive as many helpful, adviceful answers as possible, and unfortuneately, i got rejected by Home Depot, I had a Job Interview with them last week, i went, i felt relaxed and confident, dressed very good with a suit and a tie, but they never called me back to let me know if I got hired or not, they told me they would let me know but unfortuneately i had to call them, i called them throughout this week but the hiring manager was either busy or away, i called him this morning and told me that my position got filled, apologized to me and wished me luck. I have recently enrolled in the Extended Payment Option for American Express, but they are not clear about what purchases are eligible to be fall below the Pay Over Time category. What I have to do is make the purchase AND THEN find out it was accepted. I've talked to representatives on the phone already, but they haven't been of help. No one will admit that a car would be ineligible or eligible because it pretty much is not their job to pre-approve us nor attempt to do so. every I've been told is that retail shopping, travel and car rental are guaranteed.

So I was laid off from the only full-time job I have ever had, and even though I have college degrees, the only job I have been able to acquire is a part-time retail job. I also help out a couple of friends who can't steer and are disabled. They are older and have money. I'm the nice of person that does not like to ask for money, I'm the nice of person that feels like someone is taking pity on me when they buy me something and I do NOT like that feeling. So quick forward to today. My pal wanted to go shopping for some new clothes since she has the the ones she has been wearing for years. She asked me to steer and I said okay. I usually don't think anything of it. But when she got to the register and the total was over 200 dollars I felt really bad. Granted it's her clothes and her money, I just felt bad because the total of her clothes is like double the amount of money I have in my checking account (and what's in my account gets used for groceries). But then as soon as that thought crossed my mind, I felt bad for thinking and I felt bad for being depressed that I couldn't afford to buy new clothes (the clothes I was wearing at the time had holes and stains on them -- that's how most of my wardrobe looks now a days). Should I feel bad for feeling depressed? I havent had any experience but have been in loads of erotic shops and spend a fortune in them (not just fake ann summers either) i'm really open about sex and not embarrassed or intimidated by it at every. can be serious or joke about it, i've been in retail positions before as well. it's just i have a chance (via a pal of a pal) to FINALLY work in an erotic store and I really really REALLY want this sooooooo badly.... help please! Okay so a little about me - i adore drama and dance and singing, so something to do with that would be great but i adore the idea of waitressing or working in a retail store like h&m, tkmaxx etc.? My fiance is a police officer and on his days off he works at a gun manufacturing and retail store. He purchased several guns from the store, some of which can be used as a backup pistol on duty. He also keeps many of them at the store to be used as demo guns. Can he use these purchases as employee expenses? He also uses an iPad strictly for business use at the gun store (emails, the website, upload and sending merchandise pictures, etc) and his cell phone is personal and business use - close to 50/50. Would these go on the 2601? Thanks Yes, I know he has to itemize, and if he's allowed these he would have enough - combined with his other expenses. But I figured he wouldn't be able to use them.

I'm having a difficult time at the minute on the job front (isn't everyone), but just want someone to relate to me. I graduated univerty in 2010 and then spent 4 months claiming job seekers until I found a job. I was in this job for a year before being made redundant. I then signed back on again and spent 3 months trying to find a job. My new job was in retail but after just 3 months the company closed down and I was left redundant again. So now I have signed back on benefits with I hate - hate- hate!! I have been looking for a new job for a month and a half now, and just been given the opportunity to manage a store on Sundays. However, any money I earn from this job is deducted from my benefits, but to add to my problems I will end up being worse off as I now need to pay for my travel. Why on earth is it possible to be better off on benefits? Someone please offer me some words of wisdom!

My wife has developed some pretty needy time management skills since the kids have arrive along... she used to be a manager of retail stores and fairly organised but these days it seems she has to store everyday because we have run out of something, she complains of being sleepy but will watch TV every night etc... it is driving me nuts. The bit that drives me nuts is that I will receive up early with the kids so she can snooze in - she will then complain that she could hear the kids and didn't snooze real well or that the door closed loudly when we left the home etc... I also find that I will arrive home at the end of the day to bath and feed the kids and she complains that there is not enough time in the day - yet she would have been out with friends for lunch, of to sports etc has used a baby sitter and to top it off has not only had a snooze when the kids have daytime nap but also will watch a couple of shows. I am crucified if I make comment - any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Yeah Im a huge New England Patriots fan and am excited for this weekend, yet the only problem is my favorite Patriots sweatshirt got ruined and i have no time to order a new one for this weekend, so does anyone know of any retail stores that sell NFL apparel? (price isnt an issue). I live in Georgia so most places ive seen before only sell Falcons stuff, but there are places in the surrounding malls that i believe to sell NFL apparel but i want to make sure before i make the trek over to them. Any feedback would help(even if you hate New England, please put it behind you and help me). feel free to name stores around you that sell these things. It may seem like I'm asking a lot, but if your team made it to the Superbowl and you had no way of showing pride, youd be as desperate as me. Thank You. P.S.
